I had high hopes for Tiny Life, but recent events have made it difficult for me to support your game. The fact that you expose yourself on the official Game Discord, where no age verification is done, is deeply concerning. This behavior is especially troubling given that Tiny Life is clearly marketed towards kids.

As a developer, you have a responsibility to create a safe and welcoming environment for your players, particularly minors. Your actions on the Discord platform are not only inappropriate but also reflect poorly on the integrity of the game. It's disappointing to see a game with such potential overshadowed by behavior that puts its community at risk.

Moreover, the consequences of children stumbling upon NSFW content while exploring the game's community platforms can be severe, even if your intentions are pure. By not ensuring appropriate safeguards, you are enabling the possibility of minors being exposed to inappropriate content, which is not only unacceptable, but is ENTIRELY YOUR DECISION AND FAULT.

I urge you to reconsider your actions and take steps to ensure that Tiny Life's community platform is safe for all players. Your dedication to creating a positive gaming experience will not only benefit the players but also strengthen the reputation of your game.

Okay, it would’ve been enough for you to post this on one platform, but here we go again, I guess.

HI! I already responded on Twitter, which is where I first received a message of - I assume - yours. First up, to quote what I said there:

Hi! There are two stages of age verification on the server :) One is built into the mandatory onboarding questionnaire (seen below), the other one is Discord’s official age verification for NSFW channels (https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000084051-Age-Restricted-Channels-and-Content )

(the tweet is here: https://twitter.com/Ellpeck/status/1787168132580172072 )

To expand on this a bit more: the Ellpeck Games Discord server has very strict rules related to NSFW content, and a section with rules dedicated to just the NSFW channel. NSFW content and content for children is not present in the same channels, and clear boundaries are set and enforced by the moderation team to ensure this is the case.

Frankly, it’s a little disconcerting that you went to the length to create a Steam post, and then tweet at both the Tiny Life account and the Top Hat Studios account on Twitter, from an account that was seemingly only created for this purpose, to post something that you’re clearly misinformed about.

Please let me know your genuine thoughts on this topic and the things you take issue with, as I have trouble understanding your perspective based on the actual reality of the situation. Thanks!
