So, overall I think you have the makings of something great here but there's some stuff in the way of that. I know you've already watched the video, but I wanted to put it in writing too. The introduction is reeeeealy long, over 15 minutes from game start to gameplay. I understand you want to establish the story, but cutting it between gameplay sections would do a lot for the pacing early on. The combat systems are good, but don't play off each other well. The only incentive for throwing the buckler is the range you get from it, but it leaves you completely defenseless due to the general lack of mobility. The I-frames on both the enemies and player make it pretty difficult to distinguish who is where and leads to a lot of unnecessary damage. I love the idea of covering ground to become more powerful but doing so conflicts with the idea of moving through and around enemies talked about earlier. Lastly is the camera, the world transitions are awesome but the way the camera has to catch up is not, I think a lot of this could be mitigated simply by zooming out when you near a transition and even further when you transition. Overall, I think the game has a lot of potential, but there's just a lot of little things conflicting with one another.
