I love the user interface, the tutorial was perfect and I like the music kits so far. I'm finding that when I play the song you can tell when each segment begins as each segment doesnt transiton smoothly to the next. At least thats my experience so far; but perhaps im doing something wrong. I'm not sure if the recording is the same, as I haven't tried exporting yet. My only addition would be that you could edit the segment that's currently playing.

Hey Underglow, thanks for using Beat Magic! We recommend experimenting with adding reverb or delay to your loops for smoother transitions. Also try new loop combinations to find the ones that work together the best. Thanks again and happy beat making!

Thanks, I will continue to experiment.

And keep an eye for tutorials and videos that will be posted on this page in the near future.
There's lots of different ways you can manipulate the audio in the app to account for any limitations of using a loop based sequencer.  As Brooke said, one such way is to add reverb or delay using the effects -- This will add a tail to that can carry over to the next loop.

To provide an overview of how it works just to explain is that some "instrument layers" actually contain samples from many different instruments, this is by design to add vareity. You may notice that similar loops are grouped together by number, for instance 1-4 may be the same instrument playing a different melody, and 5-10 may be another instrument. Because of this, if for example a loop's instrument had a reverb effect on it when it was exported, there may be a percievable seam in loudness because there is no accompanying tail for that sample that bleeds into the next instrument.

Not every kit is designed with leads or keys with varying effects like these and moving forward as DLC is introduced, many of these initial problems will be far less noticeable as I continue to imrpove my system for creating beatmagic Kits.

thanks again for your feedback!

We're getting a couple more reports of this behavior and i'm looking into it just fyi -- think it might just be a simple optimization thing I can do -- if that's the case I'll have the fix ready soon.

I think it's a great tool & I understand there might be some learning to do on my behalf.

No problem, I understand these things may happen with newly released software!

Just an update: all is well after the fix. Absolute pleasure working with Beat Magic.
