With the election around the corner, I think it would be funny to have a fighting game like mortal kombat style but using political figures. It would be parody/satirical and not take sides (skewer both sides evenly). I am not an experienced game programmer but have 5 years in python and would be using pygame to build the game.  I'm really looking for some backgrounds and sprites but if anyone has other suggestions and tips they are always welcome.  My goal is just to release a fun game for free so this is 100% volunteer, although I'd be willing to pay $25 for some good sprites /characters, maybe more depending.
