I really want to play this game but it keeps crashing after 1 minute of play time.

The steam version doesn't even run.

Anyone can help ?

Sorry to hear that! I heard the same thing from a different Steam user recently, and I think I might have figured it out...

I've updated the redistributables that Steam should install for the game. I'm not sure whether you would need to reinstall it or not. If it's not too much trouble, please could you try these things?
1) Restart Steam completely and try running the game again.
2) Try the "Verify Integrity of Game Files" on Steam (in the Properties menu for the game) and then try running it again.
3) If that doesn't work and you'd like to try one more thing, it wouldn't hurt to uninstall and reinstall it, assume that's no trouble.

I'm hoping (1) will do the trick. Let me know how it goes (I can a couple more ideas too).

Thank you for your help, actually I tried all 3 of your suggestions and the game on steam still doesn't want to start. Only the itch io version of the game can launch but the crashing persists after 1 minute of playing.
If you have other ideas I would be glad to hear them please

thank you

Also I was thinking maybe an earlier version of the game could work ? I only have the 2.2.0.0 itch io version and the steam one but I don't know how to download an earlier version

Those are the only two version available, sorry!

Something else you could try: Go to the download page on itch (you can use the button at the top of the main page for Bonbon).
You should see one of the download options labelled "Unreal redist installer" - download it and run it,  and see if that helps.

thank you for your suggestion but this didn’t workout, I think this might be caused by gpu drivers.

There is another unreal engine game that used to run flawlessly on my computer I think it was about a year ago or a little more then that. And now it has the same issue as Bonbon. Knowing that many other users have the same problem with those games I think that this might be the issue. There is something about the new drivers that causes the crashing with both of those games.

Sorry to hear that, and hopefully it get's sorted in a future update. Please could you let me know what GPU you have, in case it comes up again.

Feel free to claim a refund, and sorry I couldn't help!

Sorry to necro, but I've just heard of a workaround that seems to fix this issue. If you're still interested in playing Bonbon, please try disconnecting from WIFI and/or from the Internet or local network before you run the game - it seems that will help. Thanks!
