The Mod team (Demon Hunters of the Night) is currently looking for people to join the team, preferably on a long-term basis.
About the project:
We do the whole thing as a hobby and for us it is a passion and joy to work on a project like this.
We are developing a Gothic independent story that will have its own lore.
This offers us the opportunity to develop freely creatively as well as to circumvent externally developed limitations to a certain extent.
This also means that we can offer the team as many opportunities for free development and design as possible, despite our clear vision for the project. Initially the project was intended to be very small, but over time we saw the potential for something bigger and increased our ambitions accordingly. If you like the idea of creating something original that can be experienced by others and want to breathe more life into the world with your passion, hard work and ambition, then you've come to the right place!
We are looking for:
- 2D (creating and editing 2D assets/textures)
- 3D (Everything that has to do with 3D - whether you focus on world building, objects, or both is up to you. We are looking for people for both areas)
- Animation [Secondary] (Should already be familiar with animations and preferably mobs in how they are done in Gothic)
Do you think you could help in another area, but are unsure because it's not written here? Doesn't matter! Simply get in touch and tell us how you would like to get involved!
Do you think you are not experienced enough in an area, but are convinced that you will learn it properly over time and are motivated to continue? We don't want to completely exclude people who perhaps still need to gain some experience, so if you are really convinced that you want to get into Gothic modding and can learn on your own, then please get in touch!
You offer:
Activity (If something comes up, that's no problem, we understand, but the priority is to get active people for the team.)
A certain level of experience in your main area (you don't have to be highly professional, but you shouldn't be a complete beginner either.)
Desire, fun, joy and motivation in and for modding!
Accessibility (It would be a great advantage if you used Discord. Writing is enough, no one is forced to the microphone)
Reliability (Of course no one is forced to do anything, but people should be able to rely on you in all respects. This means that you get in touch and are in close communication with us. VERY IMPORTANT!)
Teamwork skills (You enjoy working in a team - that doesn't mean you can't work for yourself, but general written communication in the team is important to us.)
Resilience in change and criticism (You can accept suggestions for change and criticism well and are not afraid of them. You are able to make your point of view clear and always explain your views in a good manner. You are also able to accept changes that you personally don't agree with.)
Basic knowledge of the “Gothic” video game would be desirable, but is not a requirement.

Future prospects (We have many plans for the future - whether these can be realized also depends on whether we can put together a good, active and, above all, motivated team.
