I just bought this game the other day because it was on sale and when I try to download the PC version and extract the files when I click on the application it won't work, and when I try to play on itch.io the only option I have to download is the demo, not the full version

Some people have an issue with their anti-virus deleting parts of the download.  Check with that to see if it's causing issues.
