Hi,

I need a clarification regarding the commercialisation of the game... Like an overview of sorts... How you guys will help us make a commercial build and what degree of commercial stuff is involved... (I am pretty bad with commercial things)...

Also can I submit a game with a complete ending... Like a full package instead of a prototype?

I am still kinda new to this...

Thanks! Have a good day/night (depending on whatever time zone you live in)

You can, but it would probably not do well as part of the judging this time is how much potential it has for expanding into a larger commercial game. We're really interested in not only making a fun game jam this year, but in finding cool new games to publish.

For the commercial aspect, how that is going to work as far as working with us and such: I'm going to leave that to one of our other staff members (who works more directly with publishing games) to explain that. Please be patient though as they work in the JP office, and may not be in office until Monday :)

Would be really awesome if this information (what the publishing and developing help include) could be make public and more visible to everyone. I wonder if it includes financial support to hire people to help make the winning game concepts a reality and if you'd need to refund that money or if it's just a % of all sales afterwards and probably even how much, though I'd guess that that would be depending on the contract... But regarding that publishing deal there are a loooot of questions marks in my head, especially regarding IP ownership and all that.

IP ownership will definitely stay with the developer. That one I do know. I'm going to get more details on the rest on Monday when the JP office is back in office.

How we support the winners - financial support, hire people, etc - totally depends on the title. There's a lot of ways to "help".

We'll never request you to refund the winner prize anyway.
