so I can't get any farther with Karla because I changed the temp down, since she said she prefers lower temperatures, and nothing happened. Changed the day, changed the temp, still nothing. I have paid version on windows.

This will be fixed in the Beta. Pretty much she's fine with any temperature. There just isn't a message that appears to tell the player that. Sorry!
