I recently announced in a wider-devlog that i am making a V2 to the game i released last month titled Monochromia (you can find it here: https://diamondcore.itch.io/monochromia/devlog/585644/verson-20-announcement-for...)

I am gonna share my progress so far, and update this post when i make even more progress!
Without further ado, lets get into the meat of this post!

(9/7/23)

I firstly lightened the color of the background in the Redlands, as it was a little too dark before.

Before:

After:

And as you can also see, i added an image to display the controls and an extra platform above the player.

Secondly, i added a Fast Fall mechanic. where if the player presses "S", or "Down" , the gravity becomes stronger and pushes them down faster. So long falls will be less-annoying!

Thirdly, i added an insta=death button. If you are stuck, you can press P, 1 or (on a controller) L to instantly kill the player!

As seen in this example, the player is trapped in the wall. In V1 you would have to either close the game or escape by some lucky miracle and clip back out of the wall, but in V2 its made much easier!

Also, fourthly; i've added some extra background detail/elements, making each room feel more alive!

I'm back to developing this update now. I had to take a bit of time off due to some IRL tragedy that happened, but since its been nearly 1 1/2 months, im mostly good enough to continue development!
So far today, i've adjusted the color of all bright red tiles in the game to be less "aggressive" in its glow/visuals, making it easier on the eyes, and i've also made the background for the extra world!

In the coming days, i plan on making the characters controls' a bit more refined, so stay tuned for an update on that!

Thats all i got to share today, thank you for reading!
