Are you a DJ? Read this.
Hello all music DJs (or music producers)! Interested in performing some music for in-game events? Then this post is for you.
We are a bunch of laid back and friendly players of Kemoverse Online, a social game with virtual raves and other kind of events! Initiated as a collaboration between me and sheepsheep, we have been hosting some special music events this year to gather a tight knit little playerbase. It's been quite cozy and fun, with each event being memorable due to the awesome music and strong themes. The picture above is from various music raves.
You are invited for our new Rave event!
I will start organizing a new regular music event series; which I will call Kemoverse Online: Rave and Chill. The plan is to hold it 1-2 times a month (every second or third week or so) and keep a loose schedule. They are often held at European evening times. There are no strict requirements in terms of the genre you play; but it might be worth just knowing what will be played. It's up to you for the most part; I will keep my hands off and let you dictate your experience for the players for the hour slot you get.
A couple of helpful notes:
- I'd like you to make an appearance in-game with your characters.
You don't have to actively play the game, but it's just nice for others to see the DJ in the virtual flesh. - In general, the music played is some form of electronic music. Mostly dance music, but feel free to play something different.
- There are sometimes loose themes, for example, spooky theme around real-life halloween or celebration theme for new years.
As for compensation of your time and effort; in the future I would like to give something back, but right now it's quite difficult as I'm trying to build up a player base to get this studio up and running... hence why I'm organizing events and keep them going. So be sure you're okay with doing this as a kind gesture, and in return I wouldn't mind collaborating themes, unlocking items for you in-game or sending merch.
After all, I just want players to have fun and to make it a memorable time!
