I wonder what would've happened if....

After you remember things, the one that saved you immediately treats you like a leper, the captain has always wanted you off the ship and now acts like you're even more of a burden, and the first officer wants to basically sell you to your worst enemy, I wonder how different the story might've been had you slipped off the Andromeda just prior to the take off from Teranium.  If the option had been there, I would've taken it rather than run around the ship talking to everyone hoping to smooth things over.  After all, you just find out who you are and what happened and now you're at the mercy of a ship full of mercenaries where the leaders are nothing short of antagonistic at the very least.

After giving it some thought, I figured the MC would hide as the Andromeda took off.  Of course, the crew wouldn't realize the MC wasn't onboard right away and couldn't come back when they did.  MC would likely put some distance between themself and Oppo's place in fear of being ratted out.  The first couple of days would be difficult but then would likely discover junk pile scavengers.  Emulating them, they would pick at the junk but a friendly soul would come over and tell the MC that they were collecting less valuable things.  Becoming friends, the pair would scavenge for a junk buyer for several days until the tin can man from Oppo's bar discovers the MC again.  No longer protected by the Andromeda crew, he goes after the MC.  The new friend tries to intervene but is tossed away like trash.  Seeing them unconscious, bleeding and impaled on something, the MC runs away through the back alleys and hidden areas they have explored.  Hiding until the tin can man is gone and feeling guilty for getting their only friend killed, they go back to the junk pile only to find the body gone.  Running away even further while absently carrying the few items scavenged before the attack, the MC runs into a bear of a man and falling.  The man is kind and helps pick up the items.  Seeing their value, he asks if the MC wants to learn what to do with the pieces.  For the next few weeks, they learn how to build a slug thrower weapon and how to use it as well as a grappling gun that allows safer movement in the scrap heaps.  Realizing the potential of the MC, the friendly tinkerer sends the MC to his brother, an aircraft mechanic over at a defunct airstrip.  The MC goes there and helps rebuild atmospheric flying craft and from that, learns basic piloting but shows a greater aptitude for navigation.  K'Meri see the aircraft and invade the airstrip.  The mechanic grabs the MC and drops into a hidden underground tunnel network that connects to an old sewer system with tunnels that run for miles.  He sends a signal along the certain pipes and the pair are met by the Tinkerer who the mechanic fills in on what's happened.  The trio head to the only place they might find refuge: Oppo's.   They arrive and Oppo recognizes the MC.  They explain that the five of them need to leave for Tilaarin and that many questions may be answered there.  When questioned about 'five', the MC sees someone they thought was dead: their scavenger friend.  Another scavenger found him and took him to Oppo and helped him recover from the injuries.  The scavenger friend and the MC blamed themselves for the death of the other and to see each other again was an unexpectedly wonderful reunion.  Slipping into Oppo's private shuttle, the five take off for Tilaarin where several more reunions take place.
