Web version improvements

So the project is from 2017 but I’m adding those suggestions/bug reports anyway, for the web version (tested on Chrome on Linux Ubuntu 22.04 with Unity desktop):

  • up/down arrow keeps scrolling the page when trying to move snake up and down. Implementing focus / page lock as in PICO-8, Unity, Renpy embedded web versions could fix this. It may be worth asking for a web template fix on LibGDX community, if you used a standard template.
  • sometimes I have a lag of tile move before changing direction, even at slowest speed, sending me to death against a wall

Otherwise, the game looks nice, and I see a clear victory condition although it seems quite hard to fill the entire screen. But it’s probably better to play as standalone.

By the way, a community forum > sub-forum is a bit overkill for me, I think a simple comments page would have been better for a small game like this. Unfortunately, itch.io doesn’t allow converting one to the other, so you have to pick the format you think is best from the start. Ideally, you’d start with simple comments then switch to community forum when the game has huge success…
