Well , i played this game yesterday and, i saw my past back in my face like...
That i wasted like 200 hours of smash, but without powerups, items and wasted time when i was Young.

First off, It was kinda smash! But without the extra's, powerups. You all start with the same equipment (except the weapon) and you battle it out. 
Second, Healing. You heal with 50 health per second if you crouch. That is a great mecanic.
Three, Playing with friends is important. I see you got our back. Local + Online. I'm in.
Four, the art and design of this game. OHHHHH. I can enjoy it! Pixel art meets smash!
Five, Maps, original more on one place.

Also have some little idea's for this game.

• I think this game with the amount of maps can give you a good Singleplayer. Maybe in the Future there will be a singleplayer (depends on backstory + characters and other things that will be added). I'm looking out for that.
• Custom map creator to create your own maps. Implant your own code and maybe own textures for the map. (Don't know how it will work but its kinda awesome).
• Passives, some of the characters are nice. Like most of the weapons have a passive (the dagger with a jump).
  The idea was with the charaters that they get a passive (in some gamemodes)
• Ranked... (no further description required)
• Languages, some more languages to the game. With as example, German, Franse and for the love of god Dutch. (I'm happy to help with Dutch)

Also, and steam..
