World Simulator 1

This is not a game - this is a simulator for a life-like world. The plan is to start small and, using the basic rules of human existence and geographic determinism, create a lifelike simulator with minimal player interaction. The project will never be finished, but hopefully, as time goes on it will become more and more realistic. All input is welcome.

I started off by making some simple pixel art on Krita. I will likely move to 3d later, but for now, this works as a proof of concept. I made a tent, an animal, a person (apple-shaped), and a tree. I'm not sure how all these components fit together, but I made a "wander" script for the person.

A lot of simulators I see are based around some sort of in-game economy. Money is always the common denominator. I want to try to look at human interaction as the key motivator for the world, but before I do that I probably need to make the world around the people a bit more robust than a picture on a screen. Will start work on that now...

Just made some flora sprites and gave them small growing animations

Cant wait to see how this turns out!

Implemented my wandering code into the animal and resized the sprites so the world feels a bit larger, again this is more of a test stage but hopefully tomorrow I can move into some simple ai that can seek friendly players and run from animals. We'll see how that goes as it's all new to me...
