It says in the intro the protagonist is 41 years old. He and his wife Stacey divorced two years ago (age 39). They had been married for 20 years (age 19). She was married previously, and had a daughter by that marriage (Valerie). It later reveals that Valerie is 19 years old. Meaning she was born when the protagonist was 22... Three years AFTER he married Stacey? But I thought her real father was Stacey's first husband. What the fuck is going on here?
