If you have an need to scratch an old school style itch for roguelikes, I've just released Underdark for MS-DOS, Windows and Linux! Its a ten level deep ASCII slap fest. Want to melee? try a two handed barbarian gnoll! Prefer wands? elf mage! How about a dwarf ranger with a bow?
It's not designed to be nethack/adom level in complexity, it was designed to coded within a month, which ended up being three, but that kept design ideas to a tight core which give it a nice focus on mechanics and dungeon crawling.
