Help - Cant access anything when starting the game

Im not sure where the best place to ask this is so i thought id ask it here

I just got the game after seeing a ton of stuff on YT about it cause it seems fun as hell! After installing the game (windows64 v0.2.2) through the itch.io launcher, the game launches fine. However i cant access the setting menu, or even start playing the game. it flashes the menu for a frame or two before closing it down on me. even exiting the game i have to click exit multiple times to close it.

I've tried the 32 bit version, tried downgrading to old versions, and even just running outside of the itch.io launcher itself.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hey!

Turns out im dumb as hell and had my controller connected to my pc. disconnecting it from the pc seemed to fix the issue i was having.

Also i have since spent a good amount of time on the game so the log would have been overwritten. The game is very fun!
