This Dev-log has been created to share the details and progression of The Slime Horde through its development cycle.

I'm not sure how long it will take for the first 20 stage pack but what I can say so far I've done 2 Stages... Although I feel as if I've been a bit slow as of late... hmm... 

Anyway besides the 20 stages I also want to sprinkle in a bit of lore and story in sorta/kinda of a hub world but that can be largely ignored for those uninterested in it.

Ok now I've done 2 more stages, a new mechanic and a new slime form.

2 MORE stages complete plus I expanded the interactions between gameplay mechanics.

Added Another stage plus I'm scrapping the hub world idea and now I'm looking into just having the slimes talk and stuff when you're just idling.

I am up to 8 stages out of 20 done now, no SFX's just yet and I plan for stage 20 to be a boss battle and they always take 3-5 times longer than your normal stage...

After a few more projects and after learning a bit of netcode I do indeed plan to revisit the card game idea but maybe with more of a player vs player approach unless that doesn't work on here... Also, After I get an iOS and Android license, I definitely plan on looking into building games on those platforms as well... Depending on how that works on this site... hmmmm....

Ok 10 Stages done now... I feel as if I am 35%ish done because of a number of factors... such as with the boss battle, SFX, polish and so on...

I have done 2 BGM's and wow they sound way better then b4! *Pats self on back uwu*

Let's add another 2 more stages onto 10.

I am looking forward to doing the boss battle! got some good fan service ideas for it!

Today I've mostly been messing around with ideas for the cover of the game... anyway I was wondering if this looks good and how I could improve on it?

Stage 18 completed!... yep... completed... cumpleted... hmmm.....

Stage 19 done...

Been a bit busy on some other stuffs lately so it might take a bit more than planned b4 this game comes out...

Besides that, I am considering commissioning art for my games after I have made a bit of scratch from them... I just have to work up the courage to allow donations to my games... which I will.... eventually... maybe... hmmm...

Yeh... I have no idea what I'm doing with art and animation.. so I'm just gonna yeet what I got and work it out later...

Ok I just finished an animation for the red head when she's being absorbed and tomorrow, I'll start on the boss encounter.

Then it's just some SFX work, maybe a light revision on my BGM's, a bit of polish here and there, then I'll drop it here on Itch...

My mind is defiantly flooded with naughty ideas for future games so I guess I will indeed by hanging around here for a bit.

ALSO!... also... When I get a better computer, a VR headset and learn python in a few years I'm definitely gonna build in VR too! :) ... but that's a way off for now...

Ahhh... I'm not going to worry too much about commissions I should just get better naturally over time anyway... also I've now put in a slime talk system where they will say random stuffs as you play the game, if you want me to program in a certain phrase or something let me know!... The rules are... no lolli, Scat or gore.

I'll program in 1 per account that asks me and is following me.

Boss battle is 33% done.

Ok... Boss battle is 75-80% Complete!

I got a little distracted from the boss fight today... but hey!... Now I've added some polish and a single-handed control scheme!... So yeh...neat!

Hmm... I might halve the stages from 20 to 10 and double the quality of each of them... I feel like the game is a little to stretched out and I want to compress it more.

Some systems like the fire slime and darkness will probably be cut as I take this game in a new direction... and don't worry... it just means more fan service! uwu!

Yes I am...

I keep biting off more than I can chew... so I'm just gonna release what would have been act 1 of The Slime Horde as a full standalone game and just leave it at that... while... hopefully not over promising what I am capable of again in the future... 

Anyway, I'm just wrapping up the game now... it should be done within 2 weeks and after that I have a really neat idea for a naughty cultist simulator I wanna start prototyping for...

The boss fight's almost done besides an ending cutscene and some minor niggles.

Just got the BGM's and SFX's after that and I'll post it up on here in a bit! XD

Tying up loose ends, I will start on the sound next session... Either way this game should be out in a week or less.

I dunno why but I am so happy that I have a sound model that has sound drop off... feels like improvement!

Anyway... BGM's installed! ALSO!... some SFX's as well!

Did some more sound design today!

It feels good watching it all come together and to know it will be done soon! XD

Made a start menu... probs should have done it earlier... *shrugs* also some sound as well.

Could you please stop spamming in your own topic and let other developers get their bump for a bit longer?
