Everytime i click the arrows and go to another area, the game shows everything that could be there even if i havent met the requirements to make certain characters appear, and i cannot interact with anything other than the buttons on the top of the screen, i figured out that you can unbug the area by clicking "forward" in the adobe control button on the upper left, but i have to do that everytime i go to another area and it's very annoying

The game will attempt to autosave whenever you enter a new room. It's possible an anti-virus on your computer is blocking the function and causing the game to break. There is a potential work-around if you don't want to/don't know how to change your anti-virus settings. If you look inside the MAC folder there is a .swf version of the game.
