Hello! I just made a new mobile game called pages and I need some feedback on it! The game is where players must collect pages scattered throughout different maps. As they search for the pages, they are stalked by a terrifying entity that will stop at nothing to prevent them from completing their task.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE GAME IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT AND IS RECOMMENDED FOR ANDROID AND WINDOWS USERS!

I am trying to find out how to make the game better and improve on some things! You can find the game HERE!

THE IOS VERSION OF THE GAME DOES HAVE SOME JOYSTICK DRIFT AND SOME LAG FOR SOME IPHONES!

Hi,

I played this game on Android and it was decent. The monster design is good and the map is visually appealing.

There were some bugs I encountered:

  • The word "jammed" is spelt with an "m" not an "n".
  • The monster noclipped through the security key door which ended my run.
  • The "bell" page is supposed to alert the monster (I think) but she didn't seem to care much.

There are also a few improvements which would be nice:

  • There are not enough hiding spots... it would be nice if you could hide under beds, especially in the room pictured above which is a dead end.
  • You should have more than one life, as dying makes you lose all your progress.
  • The sound queues are not clear enough on mobile (I wasn't wearing headphones) so you should add a clear indicator (e.g. a heartbeat or chase music) for when she is near you.
  • The story is lacking which is fine but a brief explanation of who the monsters are would be nice.
  • Instead of clicking on the item to interact, a hand button would be good. I was dragging the right joystick and accidentally pressed the closet door which would've been bad if the monster saw me.
  • I am not sure the coins system works well for a horror game, it would be better with a linear level unlocking system.
  • The monster moves in a strange manner, almost like a statue which makes it hard to know where she's heading.

The mobile version does have ads but they only play at the start of a run so they aren't too intrusive.

Good job! <3

Thank you so much for the feedback! I will try and fix some of the bugs you mentioned and try to add some new features to the game.
