The Scare is a slenderman based psychological horror which combines the elements of how an encounter with the real slenderman seem like. The games story goes as follows:

      Woodsville was once a peaceful town, until one day when some members of an unknown cult performed a summoning ceremony to summon a dark entity. Paranormal investigator, Paul McSmith wanted to dig in the mystery of what actually happened in the town. He went  in the town to investigate, only to find out the the cult had summoned Slenderman. The town was abandoned as one by one the residents began to disappear. The ones who were alive decided to leave the town... Paul was all alone in Woodsville, where he had to find and destroy 12 spheres that the cult had used to summon Slenderman.................................................
