Hello! My name is David Hemphill and I am an Educator and Software Developer Freelancer.

I specialize in automating workflows and teaching processes to individuals and businesses who want to make their workflow seamless. My work helps them have more time and resources to enjoy the parts of the job they like most, and create smart goals to further their likelihood of achieving their aspirations. I also still work in the education system part time, where I interface with students daily and with teachers as their pedagogy coach in the evenings. My students become better problem solvers, have more empathy, more academic success, more self-esteem, and become more expressive after working together; my teacher mentees become more adept with pedagogy, able to target individual skills, and develop more confidence in their teaching after seeing success and having students who demonstrate exceptional growth.

I want to dip my toes into Game Design, especially on the scripting side, and would love to volunteer with an individual developer or team. I'm happy to sign an NDA. While I charge $120 an hour for my services as a freelancer, I'm happy to join this project and offer my skills for free. I have a little bit of experience coding in Unity, and I have 10 or 20 small games (<3000 lines of code) I made when I was learning to code some time ago. One the largest barriers to my learning is my lack of design / art ability - I'm very good at making systems and coding them, but I struggle to come up with any ideas or to make art at any level.

My discord is below. Please feel free to add me there and we can discuss more!
