The story begins a bit abruptly with little explanation or information leading up to the point (the break into it doesn't feel quite natural).  The MC doesn't define themselves (name/gender/species), though there is a later image provided, images are supplementary, first must assume there are no images (images stand to more easily replace finer details, so that simple descriptions can be kept briefer).  He has a brother and a father who are not of the same species, Why? What are they to him/he is to them?  Who is Brooke to the MC?  The unloaders are shirtless, Why? Give detail!  Are they all male?  What species (this one may be irrelevant in this instance)?  Descriptions do not need to be verbose, but some elaboration is nice, try to picture it, and put it into words.  The art style is cute! May need to be redone down the line, but is fine as is too, but lack expressions/body language right now.  Dinner, no interactions?  What did they have? How much?  Why fixated on that Barrel, there does not seem to be enough detail to make it seem reasonable to be a concern.  The rooms, does MC and brother share a room? Sperate room? Describe the room(s)? Wearing something decent yet hasn't even put on their clothes yet? House??? Since when does a House serve various clients?  Opening what Door?  How are palms full of water, the water does not hold much or long.  Long what in bed?  Entrance, what entrance, entrance to what?  How many floors are even on the building MC sleeps in? "Thank you! I love you!" If a character is present/in the MC's line of sight, then their sprite(s) should be shown.  Oh so the house and tavern, residence and workplace, are separate? Should make that clear much sooner else they seem like they are the same place.  Bring what food from the cellar?  A couple of vegetables? That does not sound like much and could even be the same thing, be SPECIFIC!  Paying attention to that barrel again for no reason at all!?  Brother hears a scream, but aren't they busy?  Wait why wasn't a yelp or a cry?

Ugg... that is enough there are too many holes that leave too many questions, you are in desperate need to revise the story right now.  I will have to check on this at a later date.  Too painful to continue when I can't figure out or fathom what is going on, because of contradictory statements.
