I've been dabbling with my space combat shooter for a while. It's for me really. A personal goal. If anything more than that happens I will be humbled. More of a learning experience at the moment.
Scope keeps changing but I think I'm settling on an arcadey shooter. Depending how much I can learn along the way that might change.
I do have a fondness for retro games that you can have a blast on for a short time and also take some inspiration from Xwing and Tie fighter series.
Most recent updates are upgrade to URP, some new models and following some new tutorials on the combat mechanics and effects like shields and sun flares.
In the latest update I've written a detonator class that manages explosions and impacts. It works well enough but I need some better impact prefabs.
