  • Bug description: After pasting the xfdf and hitting convert I just get this error message:
  • Application version: 1.0
  • (optional) XFDF link: https://pastebin.com/y38gecuC

I tried all versions of the latest MPMB sheets and scrolled through the xfdf text to see if there is something obviously wrong, but I can't wrap my head around it.

Thanks for reporting this issue. This seems to be related to the issue reported here: https://itch.io/t/2428064/version-10-is-ready
This occurs when the current HP value on the sheet is empty.

I'll be releasing a new version of the application in a few hours that will fix this. For now, you can find your character data here: https://pastebin.com/dKjUDsQz

Thanks for your work, I appreciate it.

I couldn't get it to work even with a value inserted at current HP (or even wounds, depending on the sheet). Looking forward to the update and will post anything that will come up again :)

Cheers

Update: The error has something to do with the spellsheet. I just removed it and exporting worked.

Update 2: It also only occurs with a spell sheet that has the "with text lines" option.

No matter if there is something written in any box on the spell sheet or not, a spell sheet without text lines works flawlessly, but any of the other two options with text lines gives the stated error.

Sadly, when generating a spell sheet to be filled with spells it always will give one with text lines.

Nice sleuthing!

If you have a character sheet with a few spells and a sheet with lines, does it work with v1.0.1? You'll probably get a lot of warnings about spells not being found when it encounters the lines, but it should finish exporting after that.

At any rate, I'm going to let the spell creator ignore those lines starting from v1.0.2. I just did some testing myself with 100+ spells and an empty spell sheet with lines and it exported the character fine after the code changes.

Converting a spell sheet works like a charm now :)
No matter what spells or how many are inside. Text lines or not don't matter either. I didn't test it with "exotic" spells yet, they were mostly from PHB, so no warnings with that either.
