every time I download them, the files don't work at all. any clue why? and does anyone have a file that works?

It's giving me a message saying "an error occurred during the installation rar: an entry cannot be decompressed" is it a bug that is causing this?

Try downloading https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0 (It's free) and extracting the game .rar file to unpack it's contents.
