Crowdfunding for translations of my new TTRPG into English and Swedish

Hi everyone!

I published my first ever TTRPG in June this year. It's called Tivoli, and it's available in pdf form here: https://glassangel.itch.io/tivoli

The HUUUGE but is: the game is in Finnish, which is not very accessible. This is the main reason I haven't yet written about it here. I'm hoping to change that! I got a small grant for the Swedish translation, am applying for more, and also got a very good offer from a professional translator to do an English translation. I would be much obliged if you would check out my crowdfunding campaign at https://mesenaatti.me/en/2595/_/

As you can see from the campaign page, I'm not looking for huge sums of money - I'm using other means too, not just this crowdfunding campaign. I would, however, love to be able to pay my artist better, and if this campaign were to succeed I would be able to do that. The hand-drawn originals of the black and white images below on the right are available as rewards for the campaign, if you want to get some art for your wall!

What is Tivoli about then?

Tivoli is a PbtA-based tabletop roleplaying game about diversity and friendship. The central conflict of the game is internal: the characters battle their inner insecurities - negative beliefs - and during the game they aim to, with the help of their friends, change these into positive convictions. It can be played as a fun leisure game, but the insecurities of the characters are something many people will recognize: "It's my responsibility to see that everything goes well, and if it doesn't it's my fault." "My friends would abandon me if they knew what I am really like" "I don't really belong here" "My work isn't as valuable as what others do"  - so the game can also be lead into a very serious and contemplative direction.

The setting is a circus, fun fair/carnival or an amusement park. It's quite loosely defined, and the details are decided by the players who can co-create the world they want to play in.

The game is written by me, author Kristel Nyberg, and the art and layout are by the artist Ninni Aalto.
