Hey I can't seem to get the game going the main menu loads but when I try to start a game it tells me the game requested termination. so I click ok and the game closes. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that. If the message mentioned "termination" it was probably something generic resulting from an abort(). But to be sure, mind confirming the exact message box text that appeared?
