Hello everyone!
I’m currently completing my Masters of Information Science degree with a concentration in User Experience. I’m aspiring to be a Games User Researcher looking for experience to build a research portfolio. I’m a member of the Games User Research SIG on Discord and am excited to grow and hone my research skills.
What I offer:
- Objective evaluation of your game while remaining empathetic toward play-testers and tactful of your design decisions.
- Coordinate play-testing and recruit players with diverse or vetted levels of experience.
- Serve as moderator and observer for sessions.
- Record sessions with player consent for team review.
- Proctor surveys and feedback forms.
- Analyze data collected using usability principles:
- Learnability
- Memorability
- Efficiency
- Accuracy
- Satisfaction
- Deliver reports with concise explanations and actionable next steps for the design team.
- Prioritize issues by severity
- Provide player quotes and holistic impressions
What I want:
Permission to tailor your game’s research into a case study for my portfolio. I will follow your requests for nondisclosure of game development and business strategy, I am only looking to describe my research process and summarize findings.
