Challenge Runs Sticky

Apart from completing all content, there's currently one achievement for doing a challenge run:

Efficient: Reach the tournament after playing only 20 matches or less.

This counts every round started, whether it was won, lost, tied, or abandoned by turning off the game.

However, Puzzle Battles don't count. Play those all you want.

You can post here about your attempts at this challenge, or ideas for other challenges.

i made a bit of a strategy to get Efficient.

(most of the following decks are planned as to generally always be able to use all stones in hand in every turn to be semiconsistent)

[always remember CBA: Counter, Block and All-the-rest {also Chess Battle Advanced, thanks to Icely Puzzles}]
> For early game, always remember to try and lock out the enemy from most of the board ASAP without locking yourself from it too.

(this is for CASUAL mode. i'm uncertain these strategies will work in CHALLENGING.)
1. lose to 1-stones because 4 power sucks (or tie...)

2. beat the 2-stone master with less 2-stones than her :|
[deck: as many 2s as you can, the rest all 1s]

3. incendiate the 7-stone master's house
[deck: all the 2s]

4. incendiate the 11-stone master's house
[deck: mostly 2s, add a 6 and a 10 for good measure]

5. ask the 19-stone master to get some milk at the 7/11 (pov: he won't come back)
[deck: two 11s, all 7s and the rest 4s]

6. borrow some stones from the 31-stone master permanently
[deck: 4,4,5,7,7,7,8,8,11,19]

7. beat the 37-stone master with the bare minimum
[deck: all 1s... i'm not kidding]

8. kindly obtain some 43-stone from 43-stone master
[deck: 4,4,4,4,4,7,7,7,15,31]

9. beat the 53-stone master because it's such a walk in the park
[deck: 7,7,7,8,8,8,10,11,19,31]!
!this is the point where decks start to be less consistent but if you can understand how to use them it should be fine

10. defeat Bill with effectively just 4s really
[deck: as many 4s as you can. that's literally all you need. add some things like 31 for good measure.]

11. beat 71-stone master with sheer deletion powers
[deck: 31,31,19,19,19,11,11,7,7,7]

12. beat 79-stone master with the superior 77
[deck: 77,77,77,43,43,43,19,19,19,31]

13. beat 97-stone master with mastery of the game
[deck: 19,19,19,31,31,31,43,43,77,77]!
!make sure to not get locked early. if you can get even one 77 off, you probably already won. you just have to prevent the opponent from locking you with burn and freeze when you have few spaces to work with. be wary of 47, too.

You can win many battles with only 1 stones in casual mode. So far I have beaten - 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 19, 23, 31, 37, 41, 43.
I have tied with 1 and 17. I have lost to 29 and 47.
All others I have not yet tried.

I just did a challenge run (in challenge difficulty). I got some ideas from YurilXes, but the strat might be a bit different.

I went for 13 instead of 11 because i think it might make the 97 fight easier. Instead, the 19 fight will be harder.

I defeated these prime stone masters in order, and here's my decks:

1: just lose, whatever

2: use all special powers

7: all 2s

13: 7, 7, 7, 2, 2, 4, 4, 4, 6, 10

19: 7, 7, 7, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 3, 5

23: the same as 19.

37: all 1s

31: 7, 7, 7, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 19, 19

43: 7, 7, 7, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 15, 31

53: 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 19, 31, 31, 31

67: the same as 53, or change the three 7s to 2,3,5

71: the same as 53, or replace 19 with 23

79: 71, 71, 71, 56, 56, 56, 43, 43, 31, 31

97: 13, 13, 43, 43, 43, 67, 67, 67, 23, 23
