Hi!
I'm pretty new to godot, but I've finished the gdscript from zero app as well as a few tutorials, and I've gotten some pretty solid foundations going in my project already I think. Of course, the best way to learn I think is to jump into trying to program something, and why not make one of my first projects cripplingly complicated?
Anyway, the idea is this, it's a vaporwave inspired 8 bit fantasy console akin to pico-8, but a bit less restrictive while still keeping the 8 bit feel and aesthetics. I'm drawing a lot of inspiration from the Master System for the restrictions, but some from the NES as well. I have a lot of plans made on what subprograms to include, and the designs for most of them, which I've attached some of below. (note that this is just the concept art)
The only program that I've gotten any amount of work done on though is the sprite editor, and even that is running into issues (mainly with loading the previous data...). So what I'm looking for is another programmer who's interested in the project! It's okay if you're a beginner too, as long as you don't mind learning together with me :) Please leave a comment if you are interested and hopefully we can chat over discord about it! I'd be happy to help with your project too in exchange if you'd like, I can do art (vector, 3D, pixel art), as well as help with programming.
Thanks for reading!
