Excellent mod, but, a question...

I absolutely love that you took the time to do this, it's something this game desperately needed. My only question is, why cubic feet? As someone who has worked in trucking and farming since I was 16 years old (37 now) I've never measured anything by the cubic yard. At least here in Michigan, and out in Montana where I lived for several years as well. We've always ran with the cubic yard, which results in much more manageable numbers. Again, not a problem, just a curiosity. Thanks again for the fantastic work!

Hi, and thanks! To answer your question, when it comes to US measurements, I've found over the years of doing this that everyone uses something different. That's why it's all configurable. Not sure why I didn't add the cubic yard as a default unit, because we use it here too. It's not a hard add, and I can put it in a future update. In the meantime, you can add that unit and set your game up to use it instead of the cubic foot if you want. It's all done through the files in your modSettings folder (single player) or the UnitConvert Addon (single/multi-player). You could add them to a map as well if you wanted.

In other words, you can make anything be any unit through the xml files. Anyway, I think at some point down the road, when talking to people about "what should I use besides bushel for the default volume unit?", cubic feet was the answer I got the most (back then). From there I just kept using it as the default. That, and things that hold less people tend to like smaller units and vice versa. Gets to be pretty complicated trying to come up with a set of defaults everyone is happy with lol.

You do make a good point though, so I will switch it in future versions while still leaving the cubic foot option.

Thanks for the reply! Makes sense. I completely understand. It obviously struck me as odd to see it in cubic feet. I know the measurement is used, it just surprises me that it's that common. lol Thanks again for the reply and thank you for creating this wonderful mod.
