I am a relatively experienced pixel artist having done it as a hobby for many years. I would like to do some small contributions for a game to get some experience interacting with people and having some experience under my belt and not just hobby pieces.

I work well mostly on a small scale and with a limited pallete. I have attached some of my work for you to see.

Your offer seems too good to be true, I've recently uploaded a game I've been working on that if interest picks up I'd like to continue and finish, it has several tiers of sprite quality from the overworld stuff to the icons to the battle scenes, if any one of those is your speed. I've always wanted some help (all done by just me except the sound and music) but have no capital to hire.
