Hello there!

Is there a Demo version, or a YouTube video showing how this program works? I read the features list advertised, but I want to know how it does it, and how customizable it is. For example, in the list it says "Downloads cover art, actress portraits, trailer videos, and high resolution sample images / fanart " Is it optional? Can I download only cover images and skip the rest? It would be nice to know things like that before buying it.

I know some supporters are working on some guides/tutorials/videos, but I have no idea when they'll be ready for release.  In regards to cataloguing, yes, you can only download the stuff you want. There are options like "--no-samples", or "--no-trailers" available.
