You can try to manually clear your `.cache` folder in your home directory of any MS playwright folders and re-install the drivers by running it again. If fresh drivers do not work, you might be running on a version of Debian which it doesn't like. I assume your on Bullseye? If not, you can always try running with Docker to simulate a proper environment. If you need more additional help, please post your discord username and I can see if I can add you/help you there.

Your version of Ubuntu is extremely old. For best compatibility, I recommend upgrading to Debian Bullseye or a more recent version of Ubuntu like 20.04 or 22.04. In a worst case scenario, you can use Docker to make a simulated environment to run this in the event your system OS is has libraries which are not compatible or able to be updated.
Unfortunately nothing from R18 works anymore as you needed to backup your material before they shut down. The only recourse people have is to see if the titles they previously owned exists on DMM, purchase them, and then use the Patreon edition to back them up. As for functionality mentioned, the product page does not list anything about R18 or the ability to decrypt already downloaded titles. Not sure where that idea came from. (^_^);
You need to make sure you use *.NFO as your metadata source from within KODI in order for your videos to be added to your collection. In addition, some themes may work better or worse depending on which metadata themes choose to display, so it will take a bit of playing around to get things just to your liking.
I mean, I can't promise anything without actually having a test account to look at, but I don't see why the investigation can't be made. However, all of the work I do is prioritised based on Patreon demand. So if you'd like to have a say in the direction of the project, I would recommend you join us on Patreon, hop on to our private Discord, and make the suggestion. If enough people want it, I'd totally be willing to invest the time as this project really is community driven (After all, that's how VR functionality got added)!
The itch.io version of this software was able to download from R18 before they shut down. However, now that they no longer exist it doesn't do that anymore. The Patreon edition (still being developed) has the ability to place-shift from `dmm.co.jp`, provided you have a valid licence / entitlement for it.
Before you make any decisions, I suggest you read the project page carefully to see if ether of these versions is the right choice for you.
You need to make sure when you import your videos that your using `*.nfo` or local metadata for things to be picked up. Otherwise it might try using it's built in scrapers and fail to find anything. In addition, sometimes the theme of KODI can effect how things get displayed, so you might have to play around with it.
FYI - The screenshots used were contributed by other users who successfully catalogued their collections, so it does work. It might just need a bit of care and attention to get the right themes/skins/and import settings.
If you just want very basic cataloguing, then the itch.io version works just fine. However, if you want to place-shift videos or do more advanced things, the Patreon version is the one you need. If your wondering what the Patreon version can do, look at the product page again and scroll down to the Patreon section. There it will give you a summary of what the Patreon version is capable of.
Edit: Since the OP changed his question, I will update my answer to reflect. In regards to Patreon, your subscription entitles you to the latest version of the tool. To avoid being overwhelmed by older support tickets and wasting dev time tracking down bugs we already fixed, we generally only support the latest version, leaving a few previous versions as a fallback option (in case a major issue prevents a user from upgrading, until we can fix it). Once a major stable version is released, all outdated versions will no longer work.
Unfortunately, you'll need the Patreon version in the meantime. Normally your entries should be translated, but Google Translate updated their front-end to avoid scraping. I should be able to patch the itch.io version to fix it soon (Just in the middle of a move).
UPDATE: This issue has now been resolved. Simply download the latest version to get the fix.
I'm not sure what is causing your corruption, but folder name formatting is set to default and is not modifiable in the older version of Jav-It. So that is why it cannot be changed. Likewise, if you look at the command line switches, you will see that it is not available as well. If you can share some information about your system, region/location, language, and OS type, perhaps I can try to see why your terminal is messed up.
DMM API is more of a loose contract. In one instance something will work, but under specific use-cases, it behaves differently. There are lots of parameters they accept, but no clear reason as to why they need it, or when. Sometimes you can omit parameters, sometimes it is mandatory. Behaviour is also random. In some cases, an API will behave one way, but in another, it will do something different. There's no way to know since every title has the potential to behave differently. You just have to do lots of auto-detection and retries to see what works and what doesn't and dynamically handle each use-case as it comes up.
Hi there! You cannot remove encryption from DCV files. Furthermore, R18 already closed their doors so removing DRM via the proper previous methods are no longer available. Your only option now is to re-purchase your collection on DMM and back them up that way. Additionally, the command you used is `catalog` which should be obvious enough. (^_^); This is for cataloguing videos, and not for downloading or place-shifting titles.
Yes, it is largely the same. And as far as I know, 4K still works. If your a Patreon subscriber, I definitely recommend you link your Discord account and head over to our private server where you can find the latest tutorials, guides, and scripts that may help you out. Additionally, it is where you can find the greater Jav-It community as most users hang out there. :-D
