Are game jams suitable for audio designers?

Hi there,

I guess the title is self-explaining but I guess I should put some background to it :)

For couple of months I'm looking for some gaming projects which I'd join as an audio designer/composer/music artist. Apparently doing music is something that ton of people do nowadays and LFW topics are rammed with musicians. So I thought, well let's try some game jams, do some audio or music for free and see if I even like it (instead of signing for some paid project which I will hate in a minute).

So after little research I noticed that probably all game jams seem to care only about coders, graphic artists or even writers (for obvious reasons). So here comes my question - are there audio designers/musicians actually welcome in game jams? :)

Thanks in advance for any answers, I'll appreciate it :)

Best regards and good luck with projects,

Rico
