hi! i just tried to play this game, and also Cattle Castle 1 as well, over the last few days. but im having the same issue with both games where the top portion of the screen blacks-out and obscures like a third of everything unless im in the Inventory/Character Menu (when i hit Esc)

i was wondering if anyone else was having this issue and has a fix or workaround, or if this is most likely a glitch im encountering due to my computer setup. i'm playing in the Windows Downloaded version on an old laptop running Windows... 8.1? according to my PC info.

i'm kinda holding off on trying to play either game until i can figure out how to fully see the environments and scenes without the top part chopped off. these look like they'll be a lot of fun, if i can see them fully ^^;

i'm including some screenshots to better show the issue im seeing, changing the window size and full-screening doesnt do anything, uninstalling and re-downloading doesnt seem to work either. if anyone can help me so i can play unobscured, i will very much appreciate it! ^w^

it seems like the text is overlaying the blacked-out part a little, like on the "Y" 's and stuff in the text.

when i hit Esc, the menu being open dispels the blacked-out part until i close the menu again.

Hi there, we've tried to replicate the error. The census is that you likely have out of date graphic drivers. Are you able to update them and try again?

Thank you! i'm happy to report that updating my graphic drivers (which apparently hadn't been done on this laptop since 2018 lol...) fixed the issue for CC1! ^w^ i enjoyed it a lot for a little time-based puzzle game! ^w^

just opened and played CC2 to confirm and yup! no more black-screen obscuring my fun for this one too! thanks so much for the help! ^w^ gonna keep playing this one now ! <3

this probably helped me out in the longer run too, i never realized driver updates on this thing were done separately from main computer updates and also non-automatically as well, im really not all that computer-savvy i'm afraid ^^; but this made me look into a lot of the stuff on this old thing ive never bothered to check before, so THANK YOU so much for the advice!

gonna go properly enjoy your game now! ^w^ <3 <3

yep! Driver issues can cause all sorts of whacky issues. Graphics will manifest in weird visuals, for me some videos will turn into a mishmash of lines instead of what I’m trying to watch.

I’m so glad we could help! Hope you enjoy them both!
