I wanted to say that, while there were beta tests done by a fantastic group of flight simmers who found all kinds of ways to break the software, SimVoiceAssistant was developed by a small team and we appreciate your patience while resolving your issues.

Feature Requests

If you have any feature requests or default checklist suggestions post those as well. I will prioritize feature requests by simple popularity so if it has already been posted add your voice to it and that will bump it up the list. Checklist suggestions will be prioritized in order of whether or not the aircraft is available in the base simulator or one of the higher edition with the base game being higher priority and the later edition being lower. If you have a suggestion for a third party aircraft please post these as well but they will be low priority unless they are heavily requested.

About Default Checklists

On the topic of default checklists, I wanted to give a little insight into how I typically develop the checklists. I start by identifying the variant of the aircraft available in the simulator and then try to locate the Pilot Operating Handbook(POH) for that aircraft with as close to the model year in the game that I can find. If I can find one that matches with good accuracy I start creating the checklists against that POH as closely as is possible.

This can be challenging because sometimes the aircraft in the simulator and the real aircraft do not match up. When this happens, I typically try as best as possible to create checklists which bridge the gap between realism and remaining functional with the simulated aircraft. When there is a large disconnect I decide on a case by case basis whether or not to include a checklist item.

When an aircraft references another section of the POH I will only include some basic guidance as I cannot provide any performance tables for the aircraft. If you want to correct these items you should find your own copy of the POH and make a copy of the default checklist and edit it. When a third party developer, like Carenado, provides the appropriate tables with the aircraft(Either in the actual simulation or in documentation) I will simply reference these.

With all that said I want to reiterate that none of the default checklists should ever be considered aviation training. They are entirely for entertainment purposes and are in no way intended to represent the real world.

Future Plans

Aside from fixing bugs and implementing requested features there are a few things coming down the pipeline including:

• UI Reworks
• Hot Keys
• Additional Voice Commands For Use With MSFS

I am also currently developing a checklist for the G36 Bonanza included with the base game which is actually proving to be fairly difficult because of the difference between the POH and the simulated aircraft and the POH being fairly convoluted. But that should be coming down the line soon!
