I am working on a stardew valley, harvest moon like game with a twist of creating a dungeon and growing monsters instead of a farm and plants.
The initial version of the inventory, mining, lootdrop , toolbar and menu system are in place and I am aiming to have an early version to demo to crowd fund from in the next few months. The game will take place in primarily two locations, the dungeon, and the town above the dungeon with a mountain located in above the dungeon itself. Other locations might be added later but for now those will be the focus.
I have some placeholder art done but the artist dropped out of contact a month ago. The game is going to be 32x32 and I have a gdd, milestones, and a list of tasks on clickup for the art needed already made up. The style I'm looking for is something similar to stardew valley with maybe more of a Japanese /anime influence.
The main things needed are background tiles, the main character sprite, a few npc sprites, item sprites and monster sprites.
Some basic ui artwork for the tool bar, menu/inventory background, item slots and buttons is needed as well.
In addition some title screen artwork would be needed before the demo is ready show.
The game will include multiple variations of basic enemies most being simple color swaps.
I am also looking to either make a long-term partnership with an artist or possibly start a studio with them.
