The game can seem rather hard but is actually quite easy once you know what you are doing. Here are some tips to help you win:
- You can abuse the "restart game" option to get a head-start and always start the game with a winning hand.
- You can only save once, so wait until you are a good way into the game and in a strong position to do it.
- You can only save once, but reload many times, so reload until you have a great hand.
- Buying drinks is great against solid players like Sandra and Rosie, but mostly pointless against already-dumb players like Crystal or Candy.
- Denise never bluffs. Rosie and Candy bluff a lot.
- Rosie is immune to peeking
- Denise is immune to buying drinks. (she only drinks water)
- Clumsy and drunk players will occasionally show their cards. Keep an eye out for those free peeks.
- Streamlined mode is all about not having the worst hand. A low pair is usually good enough if there are 3+ players.
- Beware of other players shielding. Your low pair may not be good enough anymore with 1 less player to beat.
- Streamlined mode gets much tougher once you are down to only two players. Save your money for the endgame if you can.
- Beware of chasing straights and flushes in streamlined mode, as that often results in a very poor hand that will cost you your clothes.
- If you have a very strong hand, doubling up will double your winnings. Consider peeking first to avoid accidents. It still pays for itself if you win.
- Players comment on the quality of their hands, so listen carefully. They do lie, too, but mostly only if they are bluffing.
- Dumb random players like Crystal and Candy also say random things, so ignore them.
- In classic mode, you should probably fold whenever your hand isn't great. In streamlined mode, folding should be a last resort, as it will net you $50 but cost you one of your precious three clothes.
- In streamlined mode, never fold if you are down to your boxers. That's a guaranteed loss.
- Shielding is absolutely OP when down to two players.
