Tekken 7
In here I'm going to introduce and explain the Tekken 7 secondary systems because I love Tekken 7. Tekken 7 has the rage system as its secondary systems and it consists of two moves: the rage drive and the rage art.
First let me explain rage itself. Rage works similarly to the revenge gauge in Street Fighter 4 but in here if your health is 25% or below you will enter rage mode and gain access to more damage output, rage art and rage drive. It's basically a comeback system in other words.
Rage Drive
Rage Drive is a special version and more powerful, improved version of one of your special moves and gives it special properties to make turning the tides more in their favor.
Rage Art
Rage art is a special cinematic move that deals tons of damage and is the "super" of the game
Melty Blood: Type Lumina
In this section I will be explaining Melty Blood: Type Lumina's secondary systems. Melty Blood: Type Lumina has the Moon gauge and Shield.
Moon Gauge
In Melty Blood: Type Lumina, the Moon Gauge acts as a second resource from the Magic Circuit. The Moon Gauge has 11 phases and a number of ways to spend the phases. You can use them offensively for stronger special moves with moon skills, defensively for shields, or in neutral to gain more moon icons with moon charge. There's even more options to help with countering moon gauges or better attack/defense options.
Shield
Shield is parry-style defensive mechanic that lead to other routes and options depending on the button press. It interacts with the Moon system giving 2 phases on success and losing 1 without hitting anything. Pressing A after shielding performs an attack launching into a combo. Pressing B performs a slow side swap into a jumping attack. Pressing B+C requires moon icons, but it crosses through the opponent, gets you out of a stressful situation, and combos.
