After the nerf of paralysis, mage and enchanter struggle to fight the demon king compared to other classes. I was wondering if there could possibly be a perk of quickcast that can be leveled up in the perk menu to allow deep incantations like paralyze to cast faster and for less mana. Also the magic resistance that bosses have also hinders the use of Enchanter and Mage being that they are both better with magic and are meant to function with them. It ends up making them almost useless as class aside from the outfits. Could there be a way to stall, debuff, or bosses for these small classes as well as increasing their damage output? They also have low strength endurance and agility ceiling making them unable to really put up a fight otherwise. Also using items takes too long since they are too fragile. I still enjoy playing as those classes because it is a challenge and Enchanter is fairly balanced between all of the stats which is visually pleasing.
a few ideas I have are:
-create a perk that requires magic 7 that allows quickcasting of deep incantation spells in balanced stance
-allow debuff stacking from regular spells. Example would be embers reducing resistance to magic by 25% each time.
-increase damage from spells or eliminate the stacking effect for using spells. Example would be immediately setting ablaze an opponent, stunning (paralyzing for a shorter duration), and chilling would freeze an opponent for a turn or so.
-increase mana pool for mage
Quickcast does little to nothing when it comes to combat due to it taking a turn(to do nothing) in order to cast a spell that also does nothing during that same turn, making the light class get hit twice just to start spell combos. Also the spell combos do minimal damage compared to any other class with high strength or dexterity and an unbuffed weapon.
-maybe magic growing exponentially after magic 6 or 7 in order to reward classes who sacrifice their points in order to use magic allowing them both larger magic pools, or lesser cost for magic
-Maybe something for those classes to alocate skill points towards since they don't really have anything to use skill points for anyways. something that could reduce the cost of magic and/or increase magic pool or even regenerate two mana per turn even during an encounter or something like that. Best idea i think is to have something that reduces spell cost by 1 per tier by using up skill points.
-additionally buff paralyze to last longer, and be easier to access because it is just ridiculous to fight with mage in boss fights(I do enjoy the challenge, but the class isn't really even worth having if it cant depend on magic to fight).
I have been playing this game religiously and i really do enjoy it. Please consider some changes to make magic great again.
