📣The Experimental Gameplay Workshop is back for GDC 2022! 📣

This time celebrating its 20th anniversary! Submissions are open to everyone and are completely free. There is time to send your games or prototypes until January 7th. Check out the full Call for Submissions here: https://www.experimental-gameplay.org/

The Experimental Gameplay Workshop (aka EGW), for those who don't know about it, is an annual event where game devs from around the world gather to see unique and innovative games - some of which turned out to be quite popular. Originally started in 2002, the event has hosted pretty amazing games like Katamari Damacy, Untitled Goose Game, and Baba Is You among many others. You can find a list of all the games on itch.io that have been featured on the showcase in this list

The EGW is held during the Game Developers Conference (GDC), and those who are selected will receive free full speaker passes to attend the event (which are equivalent to All Access passes, valued at USD 1,699, plus have some extra perks).

To learn more about EGW and what we’re currently looking for in “experimental” game submissions, you can check out our website here. If you have any questions at all about the submission process, please do not hesitate to reach out on Twitter or by email!

✨ And if you know anyone else working on some cool stuff that might benefit from applying, feel free to pass along this opportunity to them!✨
