[SOLVED] Need help getting started!

Hi, I'm very new to using cmd prompt and have no prior knowledge regarding coding so I am quite lost.

I just bought the software today running 1.7.1 on Windows 10. I followed the steps in the readme.txt file but couldn't even get the second step right.

So next I went on the forum to try and find some answers and found HI-FiMan's scripts for downloading and cataloging. The cataloging script worked for me but I ran into issues again when I tried downloading. I tried and played various different videos from r18 but nothing would begin downloading.

Could someone advise me on what I am doing wrong and what I need to do?

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for the kind message. It sounds like your cookies file is not being recorded correctly. A recent update was pushed that can help detect this state, however there are a few things we can try. First off, what browser and plugin are you using to capture your cookie information? Are you running this normally or in Incognito mode?

Hi,

I am using Opera GX normally not incognito. I used a add-on called edit this cookie to export the netscape .txt file. I've just tried using google chrome instead and it stopped giving me the same error but now it seems something needs to be updated? I just downloaded jav-it yesterday so I thought I already had the latest version.

Thanks!

Hi,

This update was brought out yesterday, so you just got very lucky. :-D Simply download the update and you should be good!

I got the update and switched to google chrome. It is now working flawlessly with the script from Hi-FiMan. I've since supported you on Patreon for the VR download feature and can confirm that VR downloads are working as well (finally I can uninstall rplayer, omg that thing sucks ass). You are literally doing god's work man, Thanks!

No worries. Thanks for supporting the project!
