Like I said in my video below, it's a shame this wasn't explored further because you really have a lot of great ideas here. First of all, the PS1 aesthetic lends itself to that old horror film sensibility. Second, the fact that we're thrown into the game with no clues on how to proceed is clearly meant to induce a sense of unease in the player and makes us wonder why we've barricaded ourselves in a locked room in the first place. There are two well-placed jump scares in the story, which are just enough to be effective without approaching annoyance. And the overall creepy atmosphere drives home the idea that we're playing a game inspired by Romero's films. Again, you've created a great little game here and it really left me wanting more. Cheers!
