SpaceVenture beta should be released to all the backers.

Now, I don't know in which state the development of SpaceVenture is at the moment, but considering we don't have to know any idea on how long the project will continue and how long overdue it is, I do think it could be smart to release the current beta build to all of the backers. Especially, if the current development of the save function is going to take longer still.

If anyone is worried about the "exclusivity" of the beta to a specific set of backers, I do believe the year we have had the access is more than enough to cover it, especially considering that we haven't had an update of the beta for a long time.

So, I don't know. Maybe it could be smart to release the build to all the backers. It could show some good faith, perhaps even alleviate the current mood at the Kickstarter forums. That place hasn't been pretty in a good while.

That is a nice idea.  Another nice idea would be some communication from the devs for us...   Feels like we're just hung out to dry at this point.

It's true - it's been very quiet - especially if all we're waiting on is the save game function.
Last I'd heard from Chris Pope was back in April of this year.

However, that said... While I do think it's a nice idea... the toxicity of the Kickstarter page comments - (if that's what you mean by the "Kickstarter Forums") - I promise you, all they will do is bitch and scream, "We waited 12 years for this? THE SAVE FUNCTION DOESN'T EVEN WORK!" (or whatever other bugs that may yet creep up). So it's almost a Catch-22... You keep it, they continue to seethe, you release it when it's all good and done, and they will still seethe, but probably not as bad; or release the current state (which, mind you - once I knew the bugs and how to get around them - I loved SpaceVenture) - but those who have not been a part of the beta will rip it apart.
