Grimoire resistance and/or counter-ability for Mrs. Slitherss?

Hello. I could only give you the pleasure of my absence for so long. I apologize for any resurrected annoyance.

I missed several of the versions since the Grimoires first came out. Playing now: the Grimoires have enriched gameplay.

Just the night of posting this, I finally gave hotkeying an item a shot, and the game's depth has just multiplied. I hotkeyed the Gravity Sphere to one key; the Tiny Sun next to its neighbor; and now I can just wrap up bigger enemies with a small gravity sphere, fed at first using smaller enemies, and bombard them while they're tied up. I discovered this strategy fighting Mrs. Slitherss again. Her skeletons make the perfect fodder for the ball's first several growth tiers. After about six, the ball's big enough to suck Mrs. Slitherss and hold her for bombardment.

I for one love this newfound method of defeating the teacher. This feels like emergent gameplay, while still playing by the rules of the game. Juice Galaxy has realized new potential.

Which is exactly why I feel embarrassed that by this same token, I want to revisit my former squawking that perhaps Mrs. Slitherss be considered for an upgrade.

Mrs. Slitherss was made easier once after original release and then left the same since. I whined that she's too easy for a while, then became quiet. I realized she could still be challenging if one didn't level up too much. Now though, with Grimoires, this discovery doesn't just make the fight easy; it turns it into shooting fish in a barrel. I like the idea that beating any boss, Mrs. Slitherss included, can be that easy; however, a turkey shoot is too much. Even the evil Mrs. Slitherss ought to have some defense in my opinion.

So, now I request that Mrs. Slitherss- and I suppose, all the bosses- be given a way to deal with Grimoires so that they're still a challenge. Specifically, the Gravity Sphere- and I suppose any grimoire that inflicts physical pushes or pulls.

I don't think a health increase alone would do it. Mrs. Slitherss was stuck, so increasing health (alone) would only make her be stuck for longer.

I'd like to request/suggest that Mrs. Slitherss perhaps be given one of the following:

1. General Grimoire resistance. I don't know how it would work exactly, but perhaps Mrs. Slitherss could be given just enough resistance to be able to attack or move while under the influence of the Gravity Sphere or other grimoire-induced forces.

2. A teleport in response to Grimoire hits. Cheap, I know, but this might let Mrs. Slitherss escape the otherwise imposing forces. Putting the teleport on a timer- say, having Mrs. Slitherss teleport away four seconds after getting caught in a gravity sphere - would still allow the player a chance to really wail on her if s/he knows what s/he's doing; while also giving the means by which the fight can return to being a challenge.

3. A ranged attack independent of animation. I know I've suggested this before but I choose to repeat it. Mrs. Slitherss needs to come into contact during the fight to do direct, significant damage. Before, the skeletons acted as her "ranged attacks". Now, those skeletons are mini-star food, so Mrs. Slitherss needs a new way to deal with players at range.

In my opinion, having Mrs. Slitherss use a beefed-up version of her eye lasers in response to getting hit either with grimoires or ranged weapons would give players a reason to stay on their toes. If I had your programming chops, I'd like to implement for her to start silently "charging" her beam upon being hit by one of these attack types, and then to aim and release her beam at where the player was standing 0.2 seconds beforehand.

I understand that this song and dance has been done before. Now, however, in order to help Juice Galaxy's new opportunities for skill-based triumph and innovation to coexist with challenge, I think it's worth bringing up again.
