So far I have not been able to actually collect resources, the screen from the chest won't go away once I open it, and finally the main menu button doesn't work on the death screen.

Can you please go to "C:\Users\Your_Username_Here\AppData\LocalLow\Helix Creations\ReTech Alpha" and either post here or send to retechgamedev@gmail.com the file called "output_log.txt"? Then I could have a look at what is going wrong.
