Change output format?

Hi,

I would love to use your tool, but it seems to do more than I want it to.
Is there a way to modify the output so it does not sort the files into their own folders, or to change the logic the folders are created?
For example, instead of creating a folder named:
"Exclusive Asahi Mizuno (JUL00405 - MADONNA - Asahi Mizuno)"
It would instead put it in a folder tree like
Asahi Mizuno / Madonna / JUL00405 ? That would be grand!

Also, is there a way to stop it from downloading the trailers? I rarely watch those, so they would just rapidly fill my disk space...

Hi there,

Thanks for the kind feedback! In regards to not downloading trailers, you can simply add `--no-trailer` to ignore them. If you run `jav-it.exe catalog` you can see all the avaliable options you can use, in case your curious!

As for folder output, you can also change the naming convention as well so that instead of naming the folder, it just changes it to the video ID (`--alt-naming-method=dvd-id’).

As for the specific folder output you described, I suppose it might be possible to organize videos in that way. I just need to find time to prioritize it on my list of backlog items (Since I have to balance and target features which effect/benefit the most users first, as well as Patreon builds and requests).

Thanks for the quick response, that is helpful.
Does the alt-naming-method process also allow to add DVDID _and_ the actress name?

Or is it possible to - like JAVMovieScraper used to do - allow a flat structure, where the files are not pushed into a folder but remain in the original folder and the rest is added there?

Hi again! Unfortunately a flat structure would not be possible due to file names and collisions. I'm not sure how you'd keep track of videos like that to be honest! (^_^); But in regards to `alt-naming-method`, you can choose to have the directories named in `original`, `content-id`, or `dvd-id` only. Maybe I could make a bunch of optional fields, and the user can just flag which ones they  want to apply to the folder name? (ー_ーゞ That sounds like an interesting suggestion, though I'd have plan it out a bit.

Thanks again for the response. No rush on my part, keep up the good work.

I will usually sort videos either by actress or by studio.
